Injection-Molded FEP Components

FEP (Tetrafluoroethylene-Hexafluoropropylene) belongs to the group of semi-crystalline fluoropolymers and was developed as a thermoplastically processable alternative to PTFE.

Compared to the high-end material PFA, the transparent FEP is generally more economical and easier to process, although it provides slightly lower temperature resistance.

Like PFA, FEP offers excellent chemical inertness and low migration properties. Injection-molded components made from FEP are therefore frequently found in FDA and ISO 10993 compliant high-purity applications, particularly in the food industry and medical technology.
