Injection-Molded PESU Components

PESU (Polyethersulfone) – formerly also referred to as PES – is a transparent high-temperature engineering thermoplastic with a glass transition temperature of approx. 225 °C. Due to its high strength, chemical resistance, and flame retardancy compared to other engineering thermoplastics, PESU is an attractive material for a wide range of applications.

Compared to PSU, PESU offers higher temperature resistance, increased impact strength, and improved chemical resistance. Like all polyarylsulfones, it provides excellent dimensional stability with low warpage, which can be further enhanced through various additives.

Typical applications for injection-molded PESU components include electrical insulation parts, as well as valve housings, filter elements, and transparent components for use in hot water and steam environments.
